Happy Update – May 20th, 2020

We have some *paw*sitive news to share with you!

Boomer was brought to the SPCA after his owner passed away. Because of you, we were able to provide the best care for his transition and treatment.

It was clear as soon as we saw Boomer that he needed medical help. His gums and teeth were bothering him and he had a mass on his tail. We acted quick. Boomer had a dental surgery and tail amputation before things got worse. He was on three different types of medication for 1-2 weeks and recovered very well.

And that’s not all… Boomer was adopted! Our vet cleared that Boomer could go up for adoption and it wasn’t long before this sweet boy was scooped up. We are so excited that he officially has a new home and a loving family.

His new fur-parents shared this with us: “He has settled in really well here in the Annapolis Valley. He has claimed ownership of the living room couch. He took some time trying to decide if this would be where he lives, and who is this big grey haired man that now feeds and walks me 4 times a day.”

None of this could have been possible without your amazing support. On behalf of Boomer, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and dedication to helping local pets in need.

*It is possible there may not be any further updates due to adoption confidentiality. If the family does provide us with some more updates and pictures of Boomer settling into his new home we will share them here. Thank you!*
