Cape Breton SPCA Veterinary Hospital

If your dog or cat needs to be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, or treated for fleas or ticks, you can now book your appointment at our Cape Breton SPCA Animal Hospital in Sydney.

We used to provide services to help low-income families. Now, our trusted team is excited to welcome everyone, *open by appointment only*.  Please note we are not full-service and cannot treat sick or injured animals at this time. That’s why we are focusing on offering preventative care to protect your pet.

After all, pets are family. We look forward to helping your best friend feel healthy and happy.

For after-hours emergency care:
After-hours emergency care for SPCA Cape Breton Animal Hospital clients is done through video telehealth with VetTriage. Through this service, veterinarians are available 24/7 and will help you assess your pets need for immediate emergency care, or solutions for at-home care. There is a fee of $50 USD. If the VetTriage Veterinarian determines an in person visit is required you will be directed to our after hours partner Metro Animal Emergency Clinic.
