Thank you for considering the Nova Scotia SPCA in your Will.
To get started download our Planned Giving package here. It will provide you with necessary information needed to prepare your Will which would be done with the assistance of a Trustee or your family solicitor. This is to ensure that your wishes are clearly and correctly recorded.
Animals in your Will
For animal owners, knowing that their companions will be cared for after they die is a key concern.
Animals provide such wonderful companionship in later years however; sadly, many often miss out, as they worry that they will die first leaving their beloved pet behind with no one to care for them.
The good news is you can make sure your pets are cared for by including a clause in your Will nominating a family member or the Nova Scotia SPCA as guardians. In the event of your death, the nominated party can then ensure that your pet is cared for, and in the case of the Nova Scotia SPCA, ensure they find a loving new home.
The Heritage Circle
Should you decide to leave a gift to the Nova Scotia SPCA, we would be grateful if you could let us know. We appreciate that some people prefer to keep this private however we’d really like to to say thank you and show you what you you will be helping us to achieve.
The Heritage Circle is a special group of donors who have chosen to include a gift to the Nova Scotia SPCA in their Will. Pledging a gift in your will to the SPCA automatically guarantees membership to the Heritage Circle with many privileges including special events, assistance with remaining animals, our unique senior foster program, and a ‘living memorial’ to acknowledge all those in perpetuity who have provided funds though their will.
